Clay : Sensual figurative

Based on the porcelain pieces I have created this abstract clay sculpture 13“ high. Influenced by the movement and detail created in the porcelain pieces. A sculpture that is quite hypnotic, allowing the viewer’s eye to flow over the suggestive folds and undulations. For once the sculpture is unfinished at the top. I just wanted to see how this looked and whether it created a sense that the model was unfinished, again, empowering the viewer to complete the piece with their own imagination. On and on. Sensual figurative connotations.

One side remains vertical as if cut from a section. This relating to the original concept/ sculpture. To accentuate the body – accidental suggestion of the human figure.
